Blog 6: What do I want to study in the future?
I think the question of what course to study after graduation has always been a question in my head. I think I would like to take four courses -it's a dream really-.
1) On Philosophy, Politics and Critical Theory: since I started studying in college it has really caught my attention. Although I am not a great reader or connoisseur, I would like to test my abilities to critique the world from this framework. If possible, I would like to study in Frankfurt, Germany.
2) Research Methodology: I am simply very urged not to do this as it is a cornerstone in Sociology. I think I would take a course at the University of Chile.
3) Statistics and programming: I would enroll in this course because it costs me a lot. If I manage to handle it I will be able to contribute to the elaboration of knowledge.
4) Stratification and Inequality: I like theories about class composition, stratification and inequality. My goal with this would be to contribute to the debate to combat abuses and class inequality. I would like to study this in Chile.
The truth is that I hope to be able to specialize in something, I long for it from my stomach.
Wow! course number 4 would be really helpful in our country since how are things nowadays :)
