Hello everyone

I would like to visit Japan, someday. I like the way in which rural places maintain a connection with nature through visits to temples.

 I know vaguely about the Edo and Meiji periods on a societal level. As far as urban cultures are concerned I have heard about the Bōsōzoku era, among others.

I would like to visit Mt. Fuji, also places that appear in Studio Ghibli movies, for example: Tomonoura, Yakushima Forest, Jiufen Village. And, if there is time left, to visit the places where one of my favorite bands "X Japan" was formed.

Personally, I would like to just visit the country. I don't think it's a good place to live; it's very highly urbanized, the quality of life is not as good as it seems, there are high rates of depression (and that would affect me a lot), and their political views on the world and relationships are very conservatives.

    Hi! Japan it is a very interesting place to visit, I love the studio Ghibli movies, Im wondering if the food looks like they show us in the animations? I hope you can visit this place and finaly smoke that cigarret, good luck!

Blog 6: What do I want to study in the future?

I think the question of what course to study after graduation has always been a question in my head. I think I would like to take four courses -it's a dream really-. 1) On Philosophy, Politics and Critical Theory: since I started studying in college it has really caught my attention. Although I am not a great reader or connoisseur, I would like to test my abilities to critique the world from this framework. If possible, I would like to study in Frankfurt, Germany. 2) Research  Methodology: I am simply very urged not to do this as it is a cornerstone in Sociology. I think I would take a course at the University of Chile. 3) Statistics and programming: I would enroll in this course because it costs me a lot. If I manage to handle it I will be able to contribute to the elaboration of knowledge. 4) Stratification and Inequality: I like theories about class composition, stratification and inequality. Blog 7: Changes to my Study programme

 Hello to all.  As you see from the title, this blog will be about the Sociology degree syllabus. Given that, there would be a few things I would add to the content being taught.  On the one hand, I would like to see reflections on the concept of postmodernity implemented. Our career is focused on a sociology of modernity but we are not informed much about the concept of postmodernity and why it generates so much controversy. On the other hand, I would add a short course on politics or political philosophy to give you a good grounding in the currents of thought that influence sociology today. Along with that, I would reinforce a little more about the programming courses that are taught. At first, I would delve into the theoretical aspects of programming.
